Description

After a battle with three other ospreys for dominance of this nest, two ospreys fly in for a landing, claiming victory. This is part of a series of photographs of the ospreys fighting for this nest that was started at least a year ago, on top of a tall fir tree in an isolated area of the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada. The hawks flew around and fought for over an hour one windy day, frequently calling to each other and sometimes taking branches to the nest. It was a fascinating display!
